Don Alberto started his restaurant business in his own back yard. Sunday afternoons, he would cook a variety of traditional Mexican food and would sell to family and friends. Customers came in regularly for a taste of Albertillo’s “cena.” During the week, he would stock up a shopping cart with home made tamales, gorditas, and chorizo and would head out to nearby neighborhoods where people waited for his food, his stories and contagious laughter.
In 1992, he opened his first restaurant which rapidly became very popular through out the city of Santa Ana. His cheerfulness and unique personality made his customers feel at home. In fact, most of his best costumers traveled quiet a distance from surrounding cities to visit him and enjoy his recipes!
To this day, we strive to keep our father’s legacy alive by giving you great customer service and by offering a wide selection of those great recipes he left behind. Taqueria Zamora is known for the best hand-made tortillas and for the most authentic Mexican food in town.
